tinker designed exhibition in kaj munk museum in denmark
24-06-2024
After months of hard work, the exhibtion “What happened?” at the Kaj Munk museum in Ulfborg, Jutland, was officially opened on Friday, 21st of June. Tinker had the opportunity to turn the old exhibitions that tell the story of Kaj Munk, in something completely new. Kaj Munk was a prominent Danish playwright and Lutheran pastor, born in 1898 and executed in 1944. He became a significant figure in the resistance against the Nazi occupation. In the exhibition, visitors step into his former home and immerse themselves in his remarkable life.
The experience offers an immersive audio walkthrough. A narrator guides visitors through Kaj’s life achievements, while a radio play vividly portrays the final hours before his execution by the Germans. Each room represents a particular period. The projected animations, integrated into the custom-designed wallpapers, create a magical atmosphere. This engaging audio-visual journey transports visitors back in time, allowing them to fully appreciate the life and legacy of Kaj Munk.
By cleverly combining narrative, scenography, and videomapping, and thanks to our partners, we were able to deliver a unique experience. The Kaj Munk Præstegård is one of the eleven museums under the Ringkøbing Fjord museum group. Previously, Tinker also designed part of Naturkraft in Ringkøbing, also in Jutland.
