new immersive finale at lofen palace: step into the story of utrecht

On the 2nd of this June, exactly 903 years after Utrecht became a city, Lofen palace officially reopened with a brand new finale, an immersive film that brings the city's founding to life.

A few years ago, we had the honour of designing the rest of this remarkable site, and this final piece was part of the long-term plan. Now the time has come, journey back to 1122, to the very spot where history was made.

Explore hidden ruins beneath the Domplein, join a guided tour, and experience the moment Utrecht was granted city rights like never before.
